A little fireside knowledge
Your questions,
answered.
A few things worth knowing before you light your next fire.
What are firewood briquettes?
Our briquettes are Australian made hardwood, compressed into dense rectangular blocks with rounded edges. They're a compact, convenient alternative to traditional logs — extra hot, fast to ignite, and long burning.
Can I use them in my fireplace or wood stove?
Yes — they're suitable for fireplaces, wood stoves and open fires. As with any fuel, check your appliance manufacturer's instructions, start with a small amount, and never overfill, as briquettes can expand as they burn.
How are they packed?
Briquettes come in convenient wrapped packs averaging approximately 9 kg. Choose individual packs, bundle offers, or a full pallet. All advertised online prices include GST.
Have the briquettes been tested?
Purple1 Pty Ltd submitted an earlier briquette sample to HRL Technology for analysis. The report describes that historical sample; it does not certify every current pack. See our Analysis of Briquettes page for the report.
What if I'm not satisfied?
We stand behind our briquettes with a 100% satisfaction guarantee: buy, try, and if you're not 100% satisfied, return a used open single pack plus any additional unopened packs for a full refund.
How should I store them?
Keep briquettes in a dry, covered place, away from moisture and off damp floors. Leave them in their packaging until needed — moisture can cause compressed wood to swell and break apart.
